Japanese Mitsumata is high quality bast fiber from the shrub Edgeworthia chrysantha. It has a long fiber length, though shorter than kozo. The fiber is extremely clean and produces an exquisite, lustrous, pale tan paper.
Don't forget to cook this product with Soda Ash to effectively break down fibers, and we recommend Formation Aid (PEO) for use in Asian style sheet formation.
