Studio Project Intensive- Saturday & Sunday, December 5 & 6

Class both days from 10 am to 4 pm with a break for lunch and 30 minutes for clean up.

*Intermediate to advanced papermakers only. If you have never made paper before, but have a project idea, you can sign up for the Intro to Papermaking Class in November to gain experience prior to the studio weekend.

Up to four participants will come with a project in mind for their days of studio time. The studio collaborator will coordinate with participants ahead of time to make sure they have everything they need. The collaborator will be available both days to assist participants in their project and demonstrate equipment/techniques as needed.  

- Pulps available: 1 hour cotton 2nd cut, 8 hour premium abaca, and various cotton pulp paints. If you would like a different pulp or plan to use more than 2 dry pounds of either pulp, you can purchase it as an add-on at the price on the website with a 20% discount. This cost can be shared between multiple participants. 

- Additives available: Methyl Cellulose, aqueous pigment, retention agent. Further additives can be purchased in-store.

- Equipment available: papermaking vats of various sizes, numerous wove and laid moulds and deckles up to 12 x 18”, deckle boxes (4 x 6” and 14 x 19”), sugetas (8.5 x 11” and 11 x 14”), spray nozzle and air compressor, blowout nozzle and stenciling equipment, pellons, felts, hydraulic press, dry box
