Description »

Pulp pouring is an ideal way to make large consistent sheets of paper without breaking your back.  Pulp is poured onto the surface of the mould to form a sheet of paper, rather than dipped into a vat.  This process allows one to make large-scale paper without the use of vats.  We will begin with the use of the pulp pouring mould, a fully self-contained system for sheet forming, to make solid color sheets. Next we will create decorative sheets using multiple buckets of color. As the poured sheet drains, we will further adorn it with colored pulps in squeeze bottles. Sheets will then be pressed and restraint dried.

This workshop is appropriate for beginning as well as for more advanced papermakers.
