This multi-purpose polyester fabric is a non-woven material, somewhat similar to interfacing fabric. It is available in three weights and we constantly use them all in our studio in a variety of ways. The lightweight is ideal for Nagashizuki style papermaking: rather than couching each newly made sheet on top of one another, we couch onto the lightweight polyester felts.  We also pulp spray onto the lightweight polyester. The lightweight polyester felt alternative is 6 feet wide and sold by the linear yard.
