This workshop covers basic techniques of Western papermaking including sheet forming, pressing and drying. We will discuss fiber selection and preparation, followed by an overview of pigmenting fibers. We will use shaped deckles and assorted colored pulps to form sheets and explore the possibilities of laminating, embedding, and collage. Appropriate for all levels of experience.
